Apartment on the beach values integration and bets on mermaids

Sirenism doesn’t have to be kitsch. This is the biggest lesson of an apartment in Praia Brava, in Itajaí (SC), decorated by Estúdio Pantarolli Miranda . The approximately 500 m² apartment took on the look of a beach house with pearl shine, bluish and greenish tones and scale patterns. Those responsible for the project, architect Zeh Pantarolli and designer Diego Miranda, did not spare creativity. The duo’s main inspiration was based on a palette based on the color of a photograph of the sea at Praia Brava, combined with the concept of mermaids and elements that refer to the ocean.

A color combination was then developed in bluish, greenish and sand tones, also with pearl shine and scale patterns. This helped in the choice of decorative objects. Between contracting and execution, the project took a year to complete, given the wealth of details.

Comfort and practicality can be recognized in the fabrics that cover the armchairs, which, being outdoors, facilitate cleaning at any time of day. The chairs and sofas, for example, speak to the color palette and language of the kitchen flooring.

It’s a delight to receive friends or family to spend animated moments on the beach. In this apartment, there is no shortage of space for a good chat. The living room has a large sofa, armchairs and pouf, all following the color palette that dominates the entire residence.

TV room

On the beach, a TV room is the perfect retreat for a gray or even rainy day. So, what can’t be missing in the environment is comfort. For this reason, large armchairs share the space with a sofa with a chaise filled with pillows.

Dining room with demolition wood

A nautical-style decor goes hand in hand with demolition wood. To decorate the dining room, a buffet that takes up almost the entire length of the wall, in this material, also serves as a support for thematic paintings. The table, which holds up to eight people, is not exactly in front of the furniture. As the room is large, it acts as a space divider.

Facing the sea, with a paradisiacal view, the apartment also has a balcony with a swimming pool. To better enjoy the leisure area, a small table and bar are perfect furniture for a snack and a cold juice or beer. There is no better place to relax, paradise is here!

Mobile that divides the environment

A wall that divides the kitchen from the dining room was adapted and received a built-in china cabinet . The white of the exterior matches perfectly with the edges of the wooden doors, and the glass allows the view of the entire dinnerware and the collection of glasses, in addition to all the necessary items for a table set.

All white, the kitchen, which is already spacious, seems to be even bigger. The wooden details in natural color make a great marriage, both in color combination and nautical style. The central island is perfect for preparing snacks that can go to the pool, and it even has a space for quick meals.

sea color blue

The touch of color appears in the coating, a light blue hexagonal tile, which appears in several other spots in the apartment. Very well equipped, this kitchen also gained a tower of appliances.

Deserved rest

After facing the sea and feeling the waves breaking on your body, or after several dips in the pool, nothing better than a good night’s sleep. In this room, which also follows the same color palette as the entire apartment, there is enough space for both the couple and visitors, as it has armchairs that can serve as support for clothes or for a quick read before nap. On the floor, the rug matches the nautical style again.

The areas that stood out in the project were the social area (which integrates the kitchen, intimate living, dining room, living room, gourmet space, balcony and swimming pool), environments where the family spends most of their time. The circulation parts were valued and give fluidity to the environments. The built-in LED application enhances every corner in a pleasant way. Every detail added together forms this apartment that is perfect as a beach style.
