A well-decorated home needs three essential characteristics: being comfortable, offering practicality and having the personality of its residents. And that’s what the architect Julliana Camargo valued when she perfectly designed this 80m2 apartment located in the city of São Paulo, which featured integrated solutions not only to optimize the space, but also to create the sensation of amplitude so necessary for the usual compact plants. of the apartments currently built.
Even with all areas sharing the same environment, the professional demarcated each one with the help of furniture and accessories, always taking into account the identity of the inhabitants through colors, adornments, textures and finishes. Check out below the details of each corner of this incredible project, photographed by Evelyn Müller :
All (very well) integrated
To expand the most frequented area of the house, Julliana valued the integration of three environments: the living room, very well demarcated by the blue carpet, the dining room and the kitchen. Taking advantage of the natural light offered by the large window was also essential, as with the light walls, the lighting was reflected throughout the area, preserving the feeling of spaciousness.
A surprise around every corner
Personal objects used as decoration is a very special way of including the identity of its residents in the project, such as the bicycles suspended on the wall (seen in the previous image), and the guitar, which, together with the plant and the wooden coating, added elements natural elements to the room, essential to offer coziness to any type of environment.
The charm of the book space
Books have also become a major highlight in the decoration of the living environment. Arranged horizontally on rustic shelves, they created a kind of sculpture right next to the sofa. All the stacks were created with similar heights, to guarantee the organization of the furniture.
Small space, all open space
The simple division between the kitchen and the dining room was made up of a hollow counter, custom designed next to the large wine cellar. Books and some crockery ensured the decoration of the lower shelf, while some utensils share the space with a graceful plant on the upper floor. The modern stools also have a very bold design, including a dash of industrial style to contemporary decor.
Colors that deviate from the traditional
Colors are the main responsible for dictating the style of the environment. When striking tones are included, they result in very specific sensations, such as comfort, serenity, joy, among other feelings. To slightly break the neutrality found at the base of the table, floor and bench, the earthy-toned chairs played their role with mastery, standing out in an impactful (and exclusive) way in the dining room.
Open and modern cabinets
Returning to the crockery on display, in addition to guaranteeing the practicality of users, it is also a very current way of taking advantage of each item in the house to decorate the environment. For this, it is necessary to guarantee a specific pattern, so that the result is pleasing to the eye, without looking messy.
Rectangular kitchen with hidden laundry
Despite being a small area, the kitchen has become quite functional, as it has planned cabinets that take advantage of every corner of the space. Realize how it was possible to include several divisions to store utensils and food, without having to disturb the circulation. And to isolate that inevitable laundry mess, a frosted glass door with a modern black frame was installed, leaving everything discreetly hidden.
As it does not have the same natural light as the living room, it was important to counter the poor lighting received from the laundry room with light colors in the kitchen. Thus, having a meal in a compact space does not become claustrophobic precisely because of its clean decor. Not only did the cabinets fulfill this function, but also the appliances, the stone countertops and the white cladding.
The minimalist decor of the double room had few, but great options that ensured comfort and modernity to the room. As it is a small dormitory, the premise of “less is more” was implemented with great success. The wooden headboard provided the warmth that every room needs, gaining a great prominence in front of the white wall, while the blue nightstands inserted a certain relaxation in the identity of the environment.
The wardrobe has become completely invisible with its mirrored doors installed end to end. In fact, this is another solution to create the feeling of spaciousness in small environments, as well as depth to the chosen corner. Another brilliant solution to ensure the couple’s comfort was to implement switches in the headboard itself, not only to control the sconces, but also the direct light of the room. That way, no one has to get up to turn off the light before going to sleep.
Space to sleep and play
How to leave a spacious children’s room even with reduced footage? Make the most of all your walls! The bedroom, which accommodates up to 3 children very comfortably (two in the bunk and one in the bunk bed) still has a small yellow rack to accommodate the most used toys, and a very discreet reading area, with books arranged on shelves at the side of the door.
For reading at night and fighting the fear of the dark
To ensure the safety of the little ones, it’s always good to keep a lamp close to the bed, right? Thus, it is possible to easily turn it on to get up at dawn if you feel like going to the bathroom, or light up the place for a reading at night, and even collaborate to ward off the darkness, if one of them still doesn’t feel comfortable. to sleep with the light off.
The clean decoration and minimalist environment was also present in the bathroom of the house, which had a beautiful white cabinet with a black base, following the same matte tone of the sink’s metals. The large, round, frameless mirror, in addition to being timeless, preserves the style implanted in the residence. As the sink and mirror are in an open space, they can also be used by visitors, without disturbing the privacy of family members.
A well-structured decoration project allows residents to carry all their belongings in a practical way, without losing the space necessary for the good coexistence and comfort of the family. If this is the optimization you are looking for for your home, regardless of the size of your property and the style of decoration you like the most, it is worth studying the budget to include a qualified professional in your project. You will not regret!
