Residence values amplitude and integration of environments

With wide circulations, the interior design of this residence with approximately 600 square meters, located on a farm in Araucária, in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba (PR), favors the amplitude of the environments. Developed by Machado & Weiss , the modern project values elegance, seeking to use neutral and timeless elements, highlighting more punctual details in the decoration.

The request of the clients, a business couple, was for a modern residence, which did not refer to the rustic or more traditional style of a country house. “Although it was a house built on a farm, the desire was for it to have a modern design with all the comfort, and with up-to-date materials and finishes”, explains architect Alexandre Weiss. The professionals sought to highlight the generous openings with views of the surrounding nature, and the best use of natural lighting, for this they opted for the use of unlined white linen curtains. Check out the result of the beautiful project, with images by Nenad Radovanovic:

For the home theater room, professionals created a proposal with sober colors in black, gray, and concrete tones, with a modern plaster project and indirect lighting through ceiling slits, which descend on the TV wall forming decorative niches and enhanced by the decor. It was decided to maintain the integration of the kitchen, dining room and living room, in order to enhance family life.

All furniture was designed by the office and executed by carpentry. The project valued neutral and timeless elements, highlighting more punctual details in the decoration. The woody porcelain fireplace, present in the living room, is responsible for warming the environment on cold days. On the walls, beige and brown tones are predominant, composing with the black granite stone. The same color references are on the sofa and rug, highlighting the decorative objects.

It was decided to maintain the integration of the kitchen, dining room and living room, in order to enhance family life. In the dining room, the professionals chose to use two crystal ceiling lights on the table so as not to disturb the space of the TV, inserted over an L-shaped mirror panel, which goes up to the ceiling, and with highlighted wallpaper. Niches and an air-conditioned wine cellar complement the bar in the environment.

The all- LED lighting design punctuates elements and enhances each environment. The plaster emphasizes the curved details of the mezzanine and the stairs, as well as the crystal lamp on the stairs, which is covered with travertine marble.

Elegance even at rest

The suites received neutral colors and wallpaper, ensuring the elegance of the rooms. “In the couple’s suite, we developed a woodworking project where details with a mirror enhance and complement the furniture. The boy’s room, on the other hand, received furniture all in white and black, bringing sobriety and elegance and giving a more intimate atmosphere to the environment. For the girl’s room, she wanted us to make a dressing room mirror, so we used the reference of traditional dressing room lamps in a very modern proposal that matches the style of the room”, comments architect Nelson Machado.

All the furniture was designed by the office and executed by carpentry, including coffee and side tables. The result is a pleasant project, perfect for relaxing with family and friends.
