Happy birthday, Christine Aguilera!
The pop star went to Instagram on Wednesday, December 18, to mark her 44th birthday with a topless portrait. In the black-and-white image, Aguilera strikes a sultry pose, crouching on the floor, facing the camera, her platinum blonde curls brushing her bare shoulders. She wears a black leather newsboy hat, black short shorts, strappy heels and dramatic makeup.
“Birthday suit #44,” Aguilera captioned her post.
Naturally, her fans went wild in the comments section.
“Happy Birthday, LEGENDTINA, THE BEST SINGER IN THIS F—— WORLD,” one fan exclaimed.
Another wrote: “I'm talking about getting older with the years, but looking younger!!!!
Aguilera, who won five Grammy Awards during her 2000 peak, completed a nine-month residency in Vegas in August. Three months later, she made a surprise duet with Sabrina Charpentier during the Carpenter Short and sweet tour concert in Los Angeles.
At the time, Aguilera strutted around the room, wearing a black bustier and silver, over-the-knee boots, while belting out a vocal riff that launched into a rendition of “Ain't No Other Man.” Carpenter, 25, then joined him on stage to complete the number, according to social media pictures. They also sang Aguilera's “What a Girl Wants.”
In November, Aguilera shared a rare snapshot from his family of four via Instagram. The “Genie in a Bottle” singer posed with her fiancé, Matthew Rutlerand her two children, son Max, 16, and daughter Summer, 10. (Aguilera welcomed Max with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman in 2008 and shares Summer with Rutler, 39.)
“The other day, on the way to school with his father, [Summer] said, “When I grow up, I want to be either mom’s photographer or mom’s manager.” It's so funny,” Aguilera said Vogue earlier this year. “So we said Will.i.am that [when he came to see the show]and he said to me, 'Oh, my God, that's your daughter-age.' So girl-ager is the word of the year. It's so cute.
Aguilera opened up about her journey with motherhood in an interview with High life in 2019, explaining how she balances family and career in order to create a stable life for her children.
“I made the decision for a while not to tour for a while because I thought it was the best thing to do to give my children a more stable and routine life,” she said at the time. “Even when I took the place [The Voice]it wasn't really something I wanted to pursue. I just decided, 'This keeps me in Los Angeles and in a place where I can focus on my kids.'
She added: “Everything I decided to do was influenced by [my kids]but at the same time, I have to make sure I don't get lost and always stay grounded in what's important to me.
