Ryan Garcia posted a trolling photo on X of himself holding a child who looks like Devin Haney. Garcia said his “son” asked Santa to teach him to keep his “right hand up.” The image appears AI-generated, but the resemblance to Haney is too close.
Haney and Garcia have been feuding since last April. Devin is still bitter about his loss, while Ryan is unhappy with how the New York State Athletic Commission stripped him of his victory after he tested positive for a banned substance.
The quarrel is fueled
It's a way for Ryan to taunt Haney (31-0, 15 KOs), who failed to keep his right hand raised to block his powerful left hook, which he used to release it three times during their April 20 fight.
Garcia (24-1, 20 KO) couldn't miss his left hook and Devin looked scattered, unable to stop that weapon. Devin lost the fight by a 12 round majority decision and has not been seen inside the ring since. This loss ended Haney's career, and it remains to be seen if he can ever return.
Bill Haney has been raging nonstop since Devin's loss to Garcia, and he's continued to bitterly trash talk the entire time. Devin has mostly been in the background, training and keeping a low profile as usual.
He seems to have moved on and is preparing for what's next when he returns to the ring in 2025. If it's Garcia, he'll be ready, but that might not be the case. Bill could be helpful if he makes peace with Ryan, drops his lawsuit and focuses on the greater good, setting up a rematch for Devin.

I understand he's a hero to some of you, but if you think he did good in sports, then go ahead and believe in Santa.
Sit by the fireplace and wait because he isn't coming either.
