Before The golden age returns with its third season, star Kelli O'Hara gives us a sneak peek at the “exciting” batch of new episodes.

Created by Downton Abbey's Julien Fellowesthe HBO drama is set against the backdrop of 1880s America in the “Golden Age,” a historical period marked by immense economic change. The show follows Marian Brook (Louisa Jacobson) as she moves from rural Pennsylvania to New York to live with her wealthy aunts (played by Christine Baranski And Cynthia Nixon) after the death of his father.
O'Hara, for her part, plays socialite Aurora Fane, who befriends Marian upon her arrival in the Big Apple. Aurora has more notable connections than just the new kid in Manhattan.
“Last season I had the opportunity to interact with Oscar Wilde, which was pretty fantastic. Let’s see more of that,” O’Hara said. “Right now I'm deep in the middle of Sally Field's masterpiece of a memoir and it kind of makes me want to play this [in] in a very dramatic way,” muses O’Hara. “I don't know if it would be musicalized, but the stories of most of the actresses that I'm really passionate about and that have made me explode emotionally have to do with a really difficult life. I mean, even Julie Andrews had a difficult childhood. »
